FACILITIES AND CAPABILITIES

Located inside UGA’s state-of-the-art Interdisciplinary STEM Research Building 1, the Innovation Factory’s Lab is home to many different novel technologies not available to students anywhere else on campus. 

Our 6-station assembly line serves as a simulated, but realistically equipped, manufacturing environment that features traditional machining and assembly operations found in manufacturing environments. 

The UR10 Collaborative Industrial Robot and the Mobile Industrial Robot are just two examples of the technologies that students have complete access to as members of the Innovation Factory. Both of these give students the ability to experiment with robotics as they would be used in a manufacturing environment, an experience that isn’t available anywhere else on campus.
